Librarian: Mr. F.Prabhu MBA Department has a collection of 4,085 books, 15 International Journals, 15 National Journals and 20 latest Magazines are subscribed to provide latest information on the various subjects of study. All the books are classified and arranged as per the DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) System. Book Section This section contains a collection of about 4,085 books. Users can locate the required book in the stock section. The books are catalogued as per the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) System Complete silence is to be observed within the central library. Usage of cell phone is prohibited inside the library premises. Underlining scribbling and tearing of pages or any other type of mutilation of books is prohibited.
Circulation Section All the students and staff are provided with bar code stickers affixed on their Identity Card. Circulation Services (issue, return and renewal) are fully computerized with bar code facility. MODERNLIB software is used for this purpose. An open access system is followed here and users can take the books from the book section. Periodical Section This Section contains 15 International Journals, 15 National Journals, 20 Magazines and Dailies. DELNET (Developing Library Network) Specialties also available. Books issued for Users Students – 3 books Staff Teaching - 6 books Non Teaching – 3 books Duration of Loan Books are issued for a period of 14 days for students and 30 days for staff members. A book may be renewed for a further period of 30 days for staff, on special grounds reference books, current periodicals, are issued on overnight basis. Over Due Charges If the book borrowed from the library is not returned within 14 days from the date of issue an overdue charges of Rs.2 per day, per book will be levied. Reference Section This section contains reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, exam guides, standards, manuals. Handbooks, proceedings, Gate books, high priced books and collection of university question papers for reference purpose. These materials are issued an overnight basis with the A.O’s, or Principal’s recommendation. Library Rules
- Before entering the library the students will have to leave their personal belongings at the personal property shelf.
- The Library users (Staff/Students) should scan their ID card to gate entry reader before entering the library and after using library.
- Staff/Students should produce their ID cards while getting the books issued from the Library.
- Folding and Tearing of the pages underlining, clipping or annotating of the book is absolutely forbidden.
- Loud consultations, animated conversations, mobile using etc., is strictly prohibited.
